This year, we have voted to run USA Track and Field. Southern California Association has decided to implement a rule that will force independent leagues to compete in at least one USA Track and Field meet, each athlete must run a QUALIFYING TIME that has been set by USA Track and Field league officials. There are (3) meets we can attend that will not interfere with our conference meets
This years Post Season Team will be made up of all participating teams in the Valley Conference and surrounding High Schools. Each club will send an invite to their team athlete who has reached the qualifying mark in his/her event/events. Your child must meet the minimum mark to join the team.

This does not apply to High School athletes.
ALL YOUTH ATHLETES must compete in ONE of these meets to qualify for POST SEASON, and obtain a QUALIFYING TIME in order to be entered into the Association Meet to go on to the JOs.

Post season practice will begin on May 13th at SAUGUS HIGH SCHOOL. Practices will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays (Location TBD). For the Athletes who have qualified in a USATF meet, they will be eligible to compete at the following meets:

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO – IN THIS ORDER
- PURCHASE a USA Track & Field (USATF) membership card by logging onto www.usatf.org
Be sure to use TEAM CODE 15 Valley United Track Club Team Affiliation.
Association: Southern California Association. –The cost is for the annual USATF membership is $20.00.
When you receive your membership card, email a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate to the local USATF office. Email it to: info@scausatf.org Please be sure to include your child’s membership number.

Once you have completed the online application process and your athlete has met a qualifying time, your athlete will be added to the Valley United Team. We are always striving towards making the transition between Valley Youth Conference competition and USATF competition easier for all involved. We welcome everyone to the Valley United Striders and look forward to an awesome and exciting season.
