2023 Cross Country Post Season Registration
Valley United Striders Cross Country Information
This year we will be attending the USATF National Jr. Olympics in Louisville Kentucky – Dec 9, 2023
Teams will be assigned according to rankings of our meets after October 21, 2023.
There will be 2 qualifying races to make it to the national race.
All athletes will need to get a USATF membership card on Nov.1st, 2023 . If you have a card already pleas RENEW your existing card DO NOT get a new number. If you are currently unattached or registered on another team please contact USATF now to attach to our team Valley United #33-015
Here are important details of the next few weeks.
October 21, – last VYC Meet @ Santa Clarita Valley Central Park @ 7:30 am
November 4, 2023 – Mandatory Practice @ West Creek Park @ 8:00 am – Santa Clarita
November 12, 2023 – Mandatory – USATF Association Meet- Central Park, Santa Clarita
November 19, 2023 – Mandatory – USATF Regional meet – Marley Field – Balboa Park – San Diego.
December 2, 2023 – Optional – Practice and Brunch – TBA
December 7-10, 2023 – Mandatory – USATF National Championship Meet – Louisville Kentucky
Tom Sawyer State Park – Louisville Kentucky
Please be sure to join the Valley United team, If you are unsure what team you will be on (not solid in the A team) please check with your coach after October 25.
Choose C-Team if you have not qualified for an A or B Team.
Choose B-Team – if you have qualified for the B team and plan on competing in Balboa Park – San Diego CA.
Choose A-Team if your athlete has qualified for the A-Team and is planning on going to Louisville, Kentucky. (Note – In order to be on the A-Team, the athlete must commit to compete at all qualifying meets and Louisville, Kentucky, otherwise the athlete will be placed on the B-Team), however if the B-Team is advanced to the National event there may be additional fees to be added to the national event.
USATF Registration
Athletes competing in the USATF will have to purchase membership in the USATF Please make sure you attach your athlete to Valley United Striders USATF team Number is 33-015. You must upload a birth certificate or pass port to be verified at the National office. There is an upload button on the last page after you pay. the fee is $30.00 for membership.
